As promised, we are continuing this week with community accessibility autism free resources. A important component to accessibility is familiarity. In general, new places and experiences can be stressful for many individuals on the autism spectrum. Preparing and creating meaning before accessing the community will lead to individuals who are more confident and at ease.

Use today's free autism resource to help prepare students for getting their haircut. There are four different ways to use this activity - matching exact pictures, photo to clipart, photo to icon, and words. Choose whichever level your student is at to teach the activity, then extend and generalize with the other matches!
